Leon Xiang, 16 year-old, was born in Vancouver and is currently a Grade 11 student of French Immersion School. He joined the VYPC (Vancouver Young Pianist Club) in 2014 and previously served as Director of Communications, Vice President, and is currently the President.

He won the 2nd Prize Trophy and scholarship at Los Angeles Young Musician Int’l Competition, which was published by <<Richmond News>> ; he won the 1st Prize of the American Protégé Music Talent Int’l Competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. He also won 2nd place of Canadian Music Competition at final, and won 1st Prize and scholarship of Pacific International Youth Piano Competition. He has also successfully performed concertos with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra 3 times.

He took ten times 1st Places, won 3 trophies for highest aggregate mark and scholarship at BCRMTA SPG. 2021, he won 2nd Place of MAP Int’l Music Competition, the Bronze Award in WPTA Singapore Int’l Piano Competition, the 2nd Prize in Pacific Rim Int’l Music Festival, the 1st Place of Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festivals Twice. He gained the Steinway Canadian Young Artist-Standards of Excellence Award, and a high score of 94 in the RCM level 10 Practical Examination.

In 2023, he won two Silver Awards in the European Northern Lights Piano Competition, and won the 1st Place in the North American group of the Pacific Rim Int’l Music Festival in 2024. In Nov. 2024, he won 1st Prize and scholarship of Under 15 years old of Pacific International Youth Piano Competition.

Leon took part in 150+ local music performances and events including large fundraising concerts organized by local hospital and charity foundations.
